The commemoration in Margraten always takes place on the last Sunday of May. That's one day before Memorial Day in the United States. There are already events in Margraten all week because of Memorial Day. On Friday there was a concert for the adopters of the graves in the cemetery. On Saturday, ten American World War II veterans came to Margraten. They wanted to meet and thank the adopters of the cemetery.
